National Foods Quality Systems
A primary objective for National Foods is to maintain a Quality Management System based on the International Standard (ISO 9001), HACCP principles and appropriate local and export standards.
Accreditations:
The ISO 9001:2000 International Management System forms the basis of the National Foods Quality Management System. This ensures our organisation is able to meet customer and regulatory requirements by ensuring that each process is planned and documented and a continual improvement approach is integrated into all facets of our business.
Complementing the ISO system is National Foods' HACCP based Food Safety program, based on CODEX ALIMENTARIUS ALINORM:97/13A. This ensures that our products are not only consistent, but are safe for our consumers by ensuring potential hazards are identified and controlled.
National Foods' FPA Food Processing accreditation includes the registration of each manufacturing site as approved for the manufacture of Dairy Products for the export (and local) markets. This accreditation involves conformance to the Export Control (Milk & Milk Products) Order 2005 and the Export Control (Prescribed Goods- General) Order 2005. Compliance to these orders is verified via audits conducted by AQIS representatives, which includes evaluation of: • Suitability of our premises • Hygiene practices • Procedures • End product test results • Water quality • Pest control • Quality documentation
The National Foods laboratory is NATA (National Association of Testing Authority) accredited for the microbiological and chemical testing of dairy products. This ensures consistent and accurate testing methodology, provides assurance that our testing is performed using Australian Standard methods, and ensures the accuracy of the results obtained.
National Foods strives to meet all customer expectations and is therefore also accredited to a number of customer standards, including the Woolworths Quality Assurance (WQA) Standard: Version 1.
